We need to start thinking of the future of our ads/marketing as efforts in building trust. AI can be thought of as an employee working for our customers; that employee is helping our customers find the help they need. What would a “real person” employee do for their employer when help was needed? They would research businesses that they can trust. That is exactly what AI will be doing. It will only work with small businesses that it can trust.
How Do You Build Trust?
Build trust through reviews, posts, and videos that explain your products and their functionality. Build trust through showing what you are doing for your customers and the solutions you are providing.
The good, bad, and ugly of this new way of thinking is:
Good – Gone are the days when pricing is everything in our adverts. Pricing is completely ignored when AI searches.
Bad – For a lot of us, YouTube/Videos is the last thing we want to do.
Ugly – Gotta do it.
